Description and Mission Statement
The University Outreach Center - Dallas was established in November, 1988. The program is designed to help low-income and potential first-generation college students prepare for university-level academic work. Our mission is to assist underrepresented students graduate from high school and matriculate at an institution of higher education.
Program Highlights
The Dallas University Outreach staff meets with over 587 participants in 13 Dallas Independent School District schools twice monthly. The Center continues to emphasize the role of the parents with its regular Parent/Student Workshops. In addition to these activities, the University Outreach staff coordinates a wide variety of programs that are designated to open the door of opportunity to students and their parents. |
