College Visits

University Outreach students have the opportunity to visit colleges in the state through trips to various campuses. University Outreach staff arrange college visits and accompany students to help them navigate the process of finding the college which is the best fit for the students. Comparisons between large and small schools, public and private, coed and non-coed are some of the characteristics considered in making the decision. Students repeatedly express the importance of a comfortable campus atmosphere and environment when selecting colleges. During these visits, the many aspects of pre-enrollment requirements are addressed, including:

  • Admissions applications and deadlines
  • Housing applications and deadlines
  • Financial Aid applications and deadlines
  • Freshman orientation sessions
  • Fee Waivers
  • Entrance Exam Requirements
  • Majors and degrees offered

Reading about a place is okay, but visiting it makes things clearer.
