College Preparatory Curriculum

A specifically designed college prepartory curriculum is used for each grade level, 8-12. Staff members meet with students enrolled in the program at target schools working through the lessons. The topics cover appropriate core activities that should be addressed or completed in order to proceed to the next step. This step-by-step approach guides the students through a process to make it less complicated for them to accomplish.

Below are examples of topics by grade level:

Grade 8          Terms for College-Bound Students

Grade 9          What Do you Want to Be When you Grow Up?

Grade 10        Which College Entrance Exam Should I Take?

Grade 11        Researching and Visiting Colleges

Grade 12        Resume Writing for Your College Profile

At each grade level, study skills and test-taking skills are reviewed. Students are taught to become actively engaged in preparing to pursue post-secondary education.
